Ellen Mingus, R.D., L.D. and Associates
Ellen is a registered, licensed dietitian and a member of the American Dietetic Association. She has expertise in the field of bariatric surgery since 2003, and is an extremely valuable asset to our team. She will prepare and guide you through your new journey.
Sherry McCay, R.N. Certified Personal Trainer
Sherry is part of Dr. Amigo’s Lapband team. Clients meet with Sherry to complete a fitness evaluation that includes health history review, musculoskeletal evaluation, postural, flexibility, strength, and balance evaluation, and level of fitness. A post surgical fitness plan will be developed. Clients are encouraged to take advantage of a free 3-month membership, including personal training fitness plans for clients to follow. For those clients unable to use the facility, a plan will be developed to use at other facilities or at home. This benefit is provided at no extra charge.
Crystal Hutchinson, Office Manager, Insurance Coordinator
Crystal coordinates and assists patients with insurance processing and financing. Crystal has been certified in the care of patients and has over six years experience in bariatric claims processing.
Julie Waggoner, R.N., Patient Liaison
Julie is an integral part of the patient education seminars and support group. Julie will care for you before and after your surgery, and will ensure that your experience will be personalized according to your needs.
Sherri Patterson, R.N., Bariatric Nurse Coordinator
Sherri has experience in coordination of the patient education seminars, support group meetings, insurance authorization, and scheduling appointments in preparing the bariatric patient for surgery. Sherri will help you begin your journey on the “road to health,” and is available throughout your process to answer any questions.
Sandy Hesson, R.N., B.S.N., Support Group Coordinator
Sandy has over 30 years experience in the care of the surgical patient. Sandy coordinates support group meetings held at Selby General Hospital. As a recipient of a Lapband herself, Sandy has firsthand experience to share with our patients, and makes herself readily available to answer any questions you may have.
